From Bon Apetit, I made this and it was fantastic. The dessert is so simple yet beautiful, elegant and so delcious Ingredients:
1 quart vanilla ice cream |
2, 6 0z boxes fresh raspberries |
sauce |
1, 750 ml bottle of cabernet sauvignon |
2 cups sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine wine and sugar in heavy sauce pan. 2. Bring to a boil over med-hi heat 3. Boil about 20 minutes or reduced to 2 cups and sauce coats back of a spoon 4. Transfer to a bowl 5. cool 6. Cover and chill 7. Divide berries into 6 bowls. 8. Top berries with a scoop of ice cream 9. Drizzzle wine sauce over 10. Top with a few more fresh berries 11. Note: sauce can be made ahead and kept in fridge up to a week |
