Vanilla Green Beans Almondine

Seasoned with white wine and vanilla
Ingredients:
16 ounces frozen green beans
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon dry white wine
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Directions:
1. Cook green beans as directed on package, do not overcook. Drain. Meanwhile when beans are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan; stir in the wine, vanilla, onion powder, salt and the pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes.
2. Toss the butter sauce with the green beans. Top with the toasted almonds.
3. To toast the almonds, spread the almonds in a single layer on a piece of aluminum foil. Bake 350' for 3-5 minutes.
