Vanilla Green Beans Almondine |

Seasoned with white wine and vanilla Ingredients:
16 ounces frozen green beans |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 tablespoon dry white wine |
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract |
1/2 teaspoon onion powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper |
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted |
Directions:
1. Cook green beans as directed on package, do not overcook. Drain. Meanwhile when beans are cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan; stir in the wine, vanilla, onion powder, salt and the pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes. 2. Toss the butter sauce with the green beans. Top with the toasted almonds. 3. To toast the almonds, spread the almonds in a single layer on a piece of aluminum foil. Bake 350' for 3-5 minutes. |
