VANILLA FUDGE WITH PECANS I host a large cookie exchange every Christmas and this is a recipe from the 2005 exchange. I always have everyone make an additional 3 dozen cookies for the exchange. One dozen from each participant goes to our wait staff at the restaurant we go to and two dozen goes to a local nursing home or hospice. Read more . This recipe was submitted by my friend Gena. Ingredients:
12 ounces white baking chocolate |
8 ounces softened cream cheese |
3 cups powdered sugar sifted |
1 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Melt chocolate as directed on package then beat cream cheese in large bowl with electric mixture until smooth then gradually beat in sugar on low speed until well blended. 2. Add melted chocolate and vanilla and mix well. 3. Stir in nuts. 4. Spread evenly in foiled lined square pan. 5. Garnish with additional nuts and refrigerate at least 1 hour. 6. Cut into squares and store in refrigerator. |
