Ingredients:
4 eggs, lightly beaten |
1 cup(s) half & half or milk |
2 tablespoon(s) sugar |
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla |
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg |
8 slice(s) dry white or whole wheat bread |
2 tablespoon(s) butter or vegetable oil |
butter |
maple syrup |
banana slices |
ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. In a shallow bowl, beat together eggs, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dip bread slices into egg mixture, coating both sides. 2. In a very large skillet or on a griddle, melt 1 tablespoon of the butter over medium heat. Add half of the bread slices and cook for 4 to 6 minutes or until golden, turning once. Repeat with remaining bread slices and the remaining butter. Serve with maple syrup and sliced bananas. |
