A refreshing change from other carrot recipes Ingredients:
2, 16 oz pkgs, baby carrots |
simple syrup |
1 cup water |
1 cup sugar |
1 to 2 tsp clear mexican vanilla |
squeeze of fresh lime juice |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook or steam carrots almost tender by your favorite method. 2. Combine water and sugar and boil several minutes till syrupy. 3. Add vanilla to taste. 4. Pour on carrots and combine well. 5. Add some fresh squeezed lime juice to taste. 6. Salt and pepper to taste. 7. Great with poultry or beef. |
