A delicate pastry-like morsel Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
2 cups flour |
1/3 cup cream |
1/4 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Mix in order given with a mixer. Chill dough 2-3 hours. Mix approximately 1/2 cup white sugar with a few drops of red food coloring, less for a light pink more for a darker color. 2. Sprinkle flour on surface and roll out dough quite thin, then embed the sugar onto the dough, spreading all over and rolling over it slightly. Use a 2 1/2 inch heart shaped cookie cutter and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 for 15 minutes. 3. Cool. 4. You can leave them like this OR - 5. If you roll them out thin enough, put a small amount of red jelly in between and sandwich the cookies. |
