My Mom made this for me as a child. I no longer eat meat but make it for my husband and he swears it's the best meatloaf he has ever had and gets a touch upset with me if I try changing anything in it. Hope you enjoy it as much as my family has over the years! Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
3 eggs |
2 cups saltines (crushed, i do mine in a food processor) |
2 teaspoons garlic |
1 onion (if you have a picky eater use a food processor so the onion is chopped very finely) |
2 cups velveeta cheese, cubed |
1/2-3/4 cup ketchup (so it's good and moist) |
steak sauce |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients. 2. Add enough ketchup to moisten and some steak sauce to give it a little zip. 3. Shape into a loaf. 4. Top with enough ketchup and steak sauce to make a think coating on top and sides of loaf. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 6. Serve and Enjoy! |
