UTAH STRAWBERRY CHOCOLATE MOUSSE This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Elmquist Estate in Heath, Texas in 1981. Ingredients:
1 pound fresh strawberries |
1 envelope unflavored gelatin |
1/4 cup cold water |
1/2 cup milk |
1/3 cup cocoa |
1/3 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract |
1 cup whipping cream |
Directions:
1. Wash drain and core strawberries. 2. In blender container sprinkle gelatin over water then allow standing 5 minutes to soften. 3. Heat milk until hot but do not boil then add to the gelatin mixture. 4. Process on low speed until gelatin granules are dissolved scraping sides of blender. 5. Add cocoa and sugar then blend until sugar is dissolved. 6. Add strawberries and vanilla and blend well. 7. Add whipping cream and blend well then pour into dessert dishes. 8. Cover and refrigerate until serving time. |
