Quick and simple recipe the whole family will enjoy. Ingredients:
1/2 lb italian sausage, cut into 1/4 inch slices |
1 cup spaghetti sauce |
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms |
1/2 cup sliced green pepper |
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided |
1 cup biscuit mix or 1 cup baking mix |
1 egg |
1/2 cup milk |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. 2. Pour spaghetti sauce into a greased 8 inch square baking dish. Top with mushrooms, green pepper, sausage and 1/2 cup cheese. 3. In a small bowl, combine the biscuit mix, egg and milk until blended.Pour over top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. 4. Bake, uncovered, 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. |
