UNIQUE STUFFED RIPE OLIVES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Witherspoon Estate in Denton, Texas in 1988. Ingredients:
6 ounces jumbo ripe olives canned and pitted |
1/4 cup italian dressing |
1 bunch green onions |
Directions:
1. Drain olives and marinate at room temperature in dressing for one hour. 2. Turn often to coat all sides. 3. Cut green onions into 1 pieces then slash one end of each piece to make a fringe. 4. Soak onions in ice water while olives are marinating then drain onions and olives. 5. Stuff each olive with an onion fringe end sticking out. |
