Delicious, cakey, sweet cornbread. AND woth no butter. (thats how us unicorns like it) Goes awesome with my vegetarian chilli Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups polenta (cornmeal) |
2/3 cup plain flour |
3 tsp baking soda |
2/3 tbsp sugar |
1-2 tsp chilli powder |
1 2/3 cup buttermilk |
1 egg, beaten |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180 C, line a 19cm square cake tin 2. Combine dry ingridients in a bowl, make a well in the centre, add the wets. 3. Bake 40 minutes. Stand 5 minutes in pan, then cool on rack. |
