Simple, great French-style loaf. Ingredients:
7 cups bread flour |
2 1/2 cups water (110-120 degrees) |
1 tablespoon salt |
2 tablespoons yeast |
1 tablespoon butter |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients. 2. Put in greased bowl and cover. 3. Let raise for 1 hour. 4. Punch down and divide in half. 5. Roll each half jelly-roll style. 6. Raise, covered for 35 minutes. 7. Bake in greased pan (I use baking sheet) 22 minutes at 400 degrees. |
