I received a booklet from Kraft Foods today which is called food & family and this is one of the recipes in it that I am posting here to try at a later date. Perfect for game day! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 onion, chopped |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1/2 teaspoon chili powder |
1 large tomato, chopped |
6 hamburger buns, split |
6 slices kraft 2% american cheese singles |
12 slices oscar mayer center-cut bacon, cooked, drained |
Directions:
1. Brown meat in large skillet on medium heat; drain. Add onions; cook 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. 2. Add ketchup, chili powder and tomatoes; cook 5 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally. 3. Spoon meat mixture onto bottom halves of buns. Top with cheese slices, bacon and top of buns. 4. Tip: to keep warm for serving, transfer hot mixture to slow cooker set on low. |
