UNBAKED GRAHAM CRACKER BARS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Smith Estate in Granbury, Texas in 1987. Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup milk |
1 cup sugar |
1 beaten egg |
1 cup shredded coconut |
1 cup chopped nuts |
1 cup graham cracker crumbs |
1 whole sleeve graham crackers |
Directions:
1. Line a rectangular pan with whole graham crackers. 2. Mix butter, milk, sugar and egg then cook mixture to a full boil. 3. Remove from heat then add coconut, nuts and crumbs. 4. Mix well then spread evenly over crackers in pan. 5. Cover with another layer of whole grahams. 6. Frost with powdered sugar icing and refrigerate. |
