Tyropsomakia Cheesy Bread Buns

This Greek traditional authentic exeptionally tasty snack is made in the province of Macedonia in northern Greece . Further back in time ( 19th Century ) it was brought to Greece by Greek refugee Pontians living in villages on the southern shores ( Pontus ) of the Black Sea , them too being violently forced to leave by the Turks that conducted a genocide ! Read more !! It is ideal for breakfast or a round the clock snack !! Enjoy !!
Ingredients:
1 kg flour
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
400 gr original feta cheese coarsely crushed with a fork
15 gr dry yeast
10 gr backing powder
seasame seeds
1 egg beaten with a fork
salt
pinch of ground nutmeg ( not more !! )
1/2 waterglass of white wine

Directions:
1. Mix flour , oil , yeast , salt , backing powder , nutmeg and wine in a kneading bowl
2. Knead mixture adding little water when needed until you have a non-sticky dough . Don't over knead !!
3. Add Feta cheese and knead a little more until the cheese has intergrated .
4. Divide dough into ten equal pieces .
5. Apply some oil on the surface of a shallow ovenpan and sprinkle with some flour . This will prevent the buns to stick .
6. Press each piece of dough between your hands in a circular motion to form a disc and then fold to form a semicircle , softly pressing together the two meeting edges .
7. Place them in the pan and using a brush , apply the beaten egg on the top side . Add sesamee seeds .
8. Bake in preheated oven , on the second lowest scale for 50 min at a temp of 170 degrs Celcius . When top sides are golden brown , the buns are ready . Do not grill .
9. Let them cool for 30 min .
