Meatloaf for two. From a vintage cookbook I received in the bi-annual cookbook swap, Meals for Two Cookbook, Ingredients:
1/2 lb lean ground beef |
1/4 cup rolled oats (quick or old fashioned) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 dash pepper |
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/4 teaspoon onion powder |
1 egg, beaten |
2 tablespoons sweet pickle juice or 2 tablespoons water |
1 tablespoon ketchup |
1 tablespoon sweet pickle juice or 1 tablespoon water |
1 teaspoon brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine first 8 ingredients; mix thoroughly and shape into 2 loaves. Place in shallow baking pan. 2. Combine last 3 ingredients; spread over loaves. 3. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes. |
