Pseudo Twinkie filling from Top Secret Recipe's stash of freebies. Ingredients:
2 teaspoons very hot water |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 cups marshmallow creme (or 7 oz. jar) |
1/2 cup shortening |
1/3 cup powdered sugar |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. In small bowl, combine salt in hot water and set aside to cool. With electric mixer, beat remaining ingredients until fluffy. Add salt solution and combine.
2. Ideas for uses:.
3. Prepare a yellow cake mix with pineapple juice substituted for water component. Inject this filling into cupcakes made this way or a layer cake sliced horizontally.
