Here's a delicious sandwich from Sargento! Subs are wonderful because you can mix and match ! I love Pepperoncitas, so I put a lot on mine. If you're making one for your hubby or anyone else with a manly man appetite, leave one of the cheeses off (or not).Include roast beef, turkey, ham or cappacola, hard salami, or proscuitto! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons butter or 2 teaspoons margarine, softened
1 (6 inch) submarine rolls, split in half
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
2 green pepper rings
1 slice sargento deli style sliced provolone cheese
6 mild banana pepper rings or 6 red bell pepper rings
1 slice sargento deli style sliced colby cheese
1 thin slice onion, separated into rings
1/4 cup alfalfa sprout
2 thin slices tomatoes
Directions:
1. Spread butter on each roll half. Sprinkle Italian
2. seasoning over each. On bottom half, layer the following: bell pepper rings, Provolone cheese, banana pepper rings, Colby cheese, onion rings, alfalfa sprouts and tomato slices. Cover with top half of roll. Wrap tightly in foil.
3. Bake in preheated 350°F oven 15 minutes or until heated through.
