A hearty chili for those cold nights. Ingredients:
2 large onions |
1 c. mushrooms |
28 oz. diced tomatoes |
26 1/2 oz. tomato sauce |
7 oz pinto beans |
8 oz great northern beans |
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef |
Directions:
1. Soak the beans overnight. 2. In a cast iron skillet, saute the onions and mushrooms using spray olive oil just covering the pan. 3. Add the meat and brown. 4. Transfer the meat and vegetables to a large deep cook pot and add all the other ingredients. |
