Mayonnaise, dijon mustard, and fresh basil create a savory tasting bruschetta. YUMMY. Ingredients:
6 chopped tomatoes |
1 cup celery |
1/4 cup fresh basil |
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
3 tablespoons olive oil |
3 tablespoons dijon mustard |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1/8 cup dijon mustard |
1 tablespoon green onion |
1 garlic clove, minced |
3/4 teaspoon oregano |
1 loaf baguette |
Directions:
1. In a lg bowl, combine the first 8 ingred. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. 2. For the mayonnaise spread in a small bowl combine the mayonnaise, mustard,(* I used Safeway select country dijon mustard*), onion, garlic and oregano. Set aside. 3. Grill bread slices uncovered over medium heat 1-2 minutes or until lightly toasted. 4. Spread mayonnaise mix over toasted side. Grill an additional 1-2 minutes longer until bottom is toasted. Drain tomato mix and spoon over top. |
