Tweaked Hummus Using Epicure Seasonings |

My husband loves hummus; me, I find it paste-y. I bought a jar of Epicure Hummus Dip Mix in an attempt to make a hummus that we both would like. I tweaked the Epicure Recipe found on the jar & this is what I came up with. It's not a traditional tasting Hummus; but, it makes both my husband and myself happy. Hope you enjoy. ( I borrowed the suggestion from another Hummus recipe to use a dab of sesame seed oil to get the same effect of tahinni.) Ingredients:
1 (19 ounce) can chickpeas, drained |
4 1/2 tablespoons oil |
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil |
1 garlic clove |
1 pinch salt |
1 1/2 lemons, juiced |
3 tablespoons epicure hummus dip mix |
Directions:
1. Put all ingrediants into a blender. 2. Mix well. 3. Let stand at least 30 minutes. |
