very simple recipe with textured vegetable protein that I found online somewhere. a bit bland, so spice it as you wish. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups dry elbow macaroni |
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1 cup textured soy protein granules |
2 cups water |
1 tablespoon onion powder |
1 tablespoon garlic powder |
2 tablespoons dried parsley |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
Directions:
1. in a large saucepan, add the whole can of tomatoes. add two cups of water and bring to a boil. 2. add remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, or until macaroni is tender. 3. stir constantly and add more water as needed. |
