Tushennaya Markov (Braised Carrots) |

Served at a dinner party. Great flavor and fun also. Ingredients:
1 lb carrot |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon sugar |
2 teaspoons flour |
salt, to taste |
Directions:
1. Cut the carrots lengthwise into 1 1/2 inch strips. 2. Almost cover with boiling water and add salt. 3. Add a tablespoon of butter and simmer for 30 minute 4. Mix another tablespoon of butter with the flour. Add to the carrots and stir for a few minute. 5. Add the sugar and boil for 5-10 min until the liquid is nearly evaporated. |
