My Little brother often makes these. The have the texture of a gizzard. even my little kids love them Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal |
1 cup flour |
2 tablespoons onion salt |
2 tablespoons roteserrie chicken seasoning |
2 tablespoons smoked paprika |
2 tablespoons cajun spices |
2 eggs |
1/4 cup water |
2 lbs turtle, cut into bite sized pieces |
peanut oil (for frying) |
Directions:
1. mix togeher first five ingriedents in a ziploc bag. 2. mix together egg and water. 3. Dip turtle in egg mixture then in flour ixture until coated. 4. fry in oil about 5-7 minutes or until turtle floats to the top. 5. drain on paper towels. |
