A delicious dessert for those who like turtles or fudge. Packed with chocolately fudge, walnuts and caramel, it's sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. Ingredients:

1 pkg. graham crackers (approximately 10 crackers) |
1 c. walnuts or pecans |
1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted |
fudge |
2 1/2 c. sugar |
1/4 c. butter or margarine |
1 small can sweetened condensed milk |
1 jar marshmallow fluff |
3/4 tsp. salt |
3/4 tsp vanilla |
1 12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips |
topping |
caramel flavored icecream topping |
handful of walnuts or pecans |
Directions:
1. Crust: 2. Using a food processor, chop walnuts and graham crackers until they are finely chopped. Pour into a medium sized cake pan. Add butter, and mix thouroughly. Press into bottom of pan. Cool completely. (for faster cooling, refrigerate) 3. Fudge: 4. Combine sugar, butter, condensed milk, marshmallow fluff and salt in medium sized pan. Stir over low heat until blended. 5. Bring to a boil over moderate heat, eing careful not to mistake air bubbles for boiling. Then boil slowly, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. (to softball stage) 6. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla, until chocolate is melted. 7. Remove cake pan from refrigerator, and pour fudge into cake pan, spreading over crust. 8. Cool completely, until fudge is set. 9. Topping: 10. When fudge layer is set and cooled, spread caramel topping over top of fudge. 11. Sprinkle desired amount of walnut pieces over caramel topping and serve. |
