This soup is made from leftover turkey, with a delightful blend of garden vegetables, simmered slowly overnight in the slow cooker. Perfect for a main meal, and its soothing qualities make this dish a real comfort food! Read more ! Ingredients:
turkey meat, cut up to your preference |
about 14 cups water |
bones from turkey |
turkey meat |
celery |
carrot |
onions |
potatoes |
turnip |
tomatoes |
salt |
lemon |
pepper |
Directions:
1. to a slow cooker, add the water, leftover turkey 2. the salt, and bones from the turkey. 3. Add the juice of 1/2 lemon 4. Leave on LOW overnight to slower cook. 5. In the morning, add the celery, onions, carrots, potatoes, turnip,and tomatoes. 6. When ready to serve, remove the bones, and enjoy! 7. HINT: 8. To avoid missing any bones, simply place the bones in a cheesecloth bag to cook, then when ready to serve, all you have to do is remove the bag! |
