Although teriyaki sauce does have a small amount of sugar, it has only 2 grams of carbohydrate per tablespoon. Ingredients:
1/4 cup low-sodium teriyaki sauce |
1 tablespoon grated peeled fresh ginger |
1 large garlic clove, minced |
1 1/2 pounds turkey tenderloin, cut into cubes |
8 large green onions, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces |
Directions:
1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag. Add turkey; seal bag, and marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes. Remove turkey from marinade; reserve marinade. Place marinade in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. 2. Preheat broiler. 3. Thread turkey and onions alternately onto 4 (8-inch) skewers.
