Turkey Souvlaki With Garlic-Yogurt Sauce |

For this recipe you use turkey burgers...and you cut them up in small pieces. You can make your own turkey burgers, it is so easy. (see recipe#). This is easy to make and so good! From Robin Miller Quick Fix Meals. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
4 turkey burgers |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1 teaspoon ground cumin |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1 cup low-fat plain yogurt |
1/4 cup grated cucumber |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
8 pieces lettuce |
8 pita pockets (preferably the pillowy pockets that are slightly thicker than traditional pita pockets) |
Directions:
1. Heat large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Break turkey burgers up into small pieces and add pieces to skillet. Add allspice, cumin, and oregano and mix well. Cook 5 minutes to heat through, stirring frequently. 2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine yogurt, cucumber and garlic powder. Mix well. 3. Place a piece of lettuce in the bottom of the pita pocket. Spoon turkey mixture onto lettuce in pita pockets and top with yogurt mixture. |
