It is very flexible: you may use other meats instead of turkey (I have used tuna and beef bits), and you may also add a vegetable like peas or mixed vegetables. It's always a hit with everyone, including children! Ingredients:
3/4 lb turkey breast |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine |
1 1/4 cups whipping cream |
2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves or 2 teaspoons dried basil |
1/4 cup fresh parmesan cheese |
1 dash pepper |
3 -4 cups cooked pasta (i use a whole bag) |
Directions:
1. Cut turkey into 2 inches x 1/4 inches pieces. 2. In a skillet, saute turkey and garlic in butter until turkey is browned and no longer pink, about 6 minutes. 3. Add cream, basil, Parmesan and pepper; bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat; simmer for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. 5. Stir in pasta and toss to coat. Serve immediately. |
