Ingredients:
12 corn tortillas, cut into 1 |
3 cups turkey or 3 cups chicken, cooked |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine |
1 (12 ounce) jar old el paso taco sauce |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 (4 -7 ounce) can green chilies, diced |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can consomme |
1 lb monterey jack cheese, shredded |
1 lb cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in saucepan, then add onions. 2. Cook until tender. 3. Add green chilies, taco sauce, three soups, and turkey or chicken. 4. Place a layer of tortillas on bottom of 2-inch deep casserole dish. 5. Place alternate layers of soup mixture, tortillas and cheese on top. 6. Repeat for 3 layers, making sure top layer is cheese. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes to one hour, or until cheese is melted. |
