A low fat meatball recipe quick and easy enough for a weeknight family supper. Ingredients:
1 1/4 lbs ground turkey |
3/4 cup dried breadcrumbs |
1/2 cup low-fat milk |
1 egg white |
3 tablespoons ketchup |
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon dried basil |
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves |
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients thouroughly. 2. Form 1/4 cup meat mixture into meatballs. 3. Arrange 1/2 the meatballs around the edge of a dinner plate or large microwave safe plate. 4. Microwave meatballs at 70% power 4 minutes 30 seconds. 5. Turn over meatballs. 6. Microwave at 70% power for 3 minutes. 7. Repeat steps 3-6 with second half meatballs. 8. Add meatballs to your favorite sauce. |
