In 'The Everything Healthy Slow Cooker Cookbook' Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey breast |
6 ounces tomato paste |
1/2 cup water |
4 cloves garlic, minced |
1 onion, minced |
1 carrot, minced |
1 teaspoon ground chipotle chile |
1 teaspoon smoked paprika |
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon allspice |
1/8 teaspoon clove |
salt, to taste |
Directions:
1. In a nonstick skillet, saute the turkey until cooked through, breaking up any large chunks; drain off fat. 2. Add to 4-quart slow cooker. 3. Add in the remaining ingredients; stir to combine. 4. Cook on LOW for 8 hours; stir prior to serving. 5. Serve on whole-grain buns; add some shredded cheddar cheese. |
