Turkey Chili Worth Gobbling About |

This dish has a real unique but incredible taste with a cup of coffee liquor added. Don't knock it until you've tried it. Ingredients:
2 lb. white ground turkey |
3 cans chili beans, i use hot - drained |
1 med. yellow onion chopped |
3 to 4 garlic cloves - minced |
1 16 oz. can of diced tomatoes - drained |
3/4 can of tomato paste |
1/4 cup parsley |
3 t chili powder |
2 tsp salt |
2 tsp pepper |
1 tsp majoram |
1 tsp oregno |
1 tsp cumin |
red pepper to taste |
1 cup of khalua or coffee liquor |
Directions:
1. Saute onion, garlic with 1 Tab. butter, add turkey meat and cook until no longer pink. 2. add all ingred. ( Except beans and coffee liquor) simmer 10 mins. 3. add beans and coffee liquor and simmer with lid slightly off for 3 to 4 hours. stir frequently. veryyyyyyyyyy good! 4. When serving, I add grated cheddar and more chopped onions with oyster crackers and a couple of dabs of tabasco sauce. |
