This is thick and will warm your tummy on a cold day. We like this with homemade corn bread with butter. Ingredients:
1 lb extra lean ground turkey |
1 medium onion, chopped |
1 small green pepper, chopped |
2 (15 ounce) cans spicy chili beans |
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained |
1 (15 1/4 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomatoes with onion and garlic, diced |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped |
2 tablespoons chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. In a Dutch oven or large saucepan, cook the turkey, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients. 3. Bring to a boil. 4. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
