Turkey Chili For The Crock Pot |

this dish is especially comforting on a chilly evening with a wedge of warm cornbread slathered with butter... good anytime. Ingredients:
2 pounds ground turkey |
1 cup chopped onion |
4 large cloves of garlic, chopped |
1/2 cup diced sweet bell pepper |
1/2 cup diced pasilla pepper |
1 cup low salt chicken broth |
1 teaspoon dried oregano |
1/2 teaspoon chili powder or to desired taste |
1/2 teaspoon chile de arbol or to desired taste |
2 ' large cans red kidney beans, 1 drained and 1 undrained |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet brown the ground turkey with the onions, garlic and peppers, drain. Add all of the ingredients to the crock pot, stir and cover . Cook on low 4 ~ 6 hours, serve with warm buttered cornbread. 2. (for easier cleanup spray the crock pot with a non stick spray before adding all of the ingredients.) |
