light chili Ingredients:
1 tbsp. olive oil |
1 1/4 lb. lean ground turkey |
3/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped |
3/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped |
1 tbsp jalapeno, chopped |
1 tbsp minced garlic |
31 oz diced tomatoes |
15 1/2 oz tomato sauce |
1 tsp. salt |
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper |
15 1/2 oz kidney beans , rinsed and drained |
2 tbsp brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Saute meat, onion, pepper, and garlic. 2. Drain excess fat. Stir in remaining ingredients except beans. 3. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 2 hours. 4. Stir occasionally. Stir in beans, heat throughly. 5. 1 serving = 1 cup |
