A healthier option for the true chili lover Ingredients:
1 tbs olive oil |
1 tbs onion powder |
1 lb ground turkey |
1 tsp garlic salt |
1 tbs chili powder |
1 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp sweet paprika |
1/8 tsp pepper |
15 oz chopped tomatoes |
26 oz chicken broth |
1 1/2 cup red pepper |
1 1/2 cup carrot |
1 tsp cumin |
2 tbs flax seed meal |
15 oz kidney beans |
Directions:
1. heat oil and garlic powder in a large pot 2. season ground turkey with garlic, chili powder, salt, paprika and pepper. Add turkey to pot, cooking until no pink remains 3. stir in tomatoes. add the broth, red pepper, carrot, cumin, flaxseed meal and stir well. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes. stir in beans and cook until beans are done |
