A vegetarian recipe with turkey added. Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey |
1 cup finely chopped onion |
1 cup chopped red bell pepper |
2 tbs minced jalapeno pepper |
1/2 tsp minced garlic |
28 oz tomatos, crushed |
15 oz black beans |
15 oz kidney beans |
1/2 cup corn |
1/4 cup tomato paste |
1 tsp sugar |
1 tsp ground cumin |
1 tsp dried basil |
1 tsp chili powder |
1/4 tsp black pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey in a skillet. 2. Add onion, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper and garlic. Cook until vegetables are tender. 3. Transfer mixture to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. 4. Cover; cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours. |
