Cook the turkey and make the gravy at the same time using a plastic cooking bag. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon flour |
2 (7/8 ounce) packages turkey gravy mix |
3/4 cup water |
4 lbs turkey breast |
2 onions |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Peel onion and cut into quarters. 3. Shake flour in an oven bag. Place in a 13x9x2 inch pan. 4. Add gravy mix and water to oven bag. Squeeze oven bag to blend in flour. 5. Brush turkey with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in oven bag. Place onions around turkey. 6. Close oven bag with nylon tie and cut six 1/2 inch slits in top. Tuck ends of bag in pan. 7. Bake 1 1/4 hours to 2 hours, until meat thermometer reads 170°F Let stand in oven bag 10 minutes. |
