From Cooking Light. Nice substitute for a full-fat brat. Except for the salt and pepper, I use the full amount of spice for one pound of turkey. I tried with ground chicken (not ground chicken breast) the other day and that was great too. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon kosher salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander |
1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage |
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
1 tablespoon skim milk |
2 lbs lean ground turkey |
cooking spray |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except spray and mix well. 2. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions, shaping each into a 1/2 inch thick patty. 3. Heat a large nonstick skillet over med high. 4. Coat with spray. 5. Add 4 patties; cook 4 minutes on each side or until done. 6. Repeat procedure with spray and remaining patties. 7. Serve with rye bread and spicy mustard. |
