1 lb ground turkey |
1 onion, chopped |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
2 cloves garlic, crushed |
1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, peppers |
2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes with puree |
2 (16 ounce) cans black beans, rinsed and drained |
Directions:
1. In a large pot, cook turkey and onion in oil over medium high heat, stirring to break up lumps, until turkey is no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. 2. Drain off any excess fat. 3. Add all remaining ingredients; stir to mix well. 4. Heat to boiling, stirring often. 5. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes. |
