This would be good with Chicken. As always I like to put potatoes in this. Cook time 20-25 M. Ingredients:
!/3 cup chopped onion |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
1/3 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
1 can (10- 1/2 oz) condensed chicken or turkey broth, undiluted |
3/4 cup milk |
2 cups cubed cooked turkey |
1 cup cooked peas |
1 cup cooked whole baby carrots |
1 tube (10) oz.) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, you can also used home made. |
Directions:
1. In a 10-in. ovenproof skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. 2. Stir in flour, salt and pepper until smooth. 3. Gradually add broth and milk, cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. 4. Add the turkey, peas and carrots; heat through. 5. Separate biscuits and arrange over the stew. 6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. 7. Yield: 6 - 8 servings |
