This creamy casseroles offer comforting flavor. This is one of my favorite casseroles to prepare for my family.Diane Hyatt, Oregonia, Ohio Ingredients:
3 cups king arthur unbleached all-purpose flour |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 egg, lightly beaten |
3/4 cup butter, melted |
3/4 cup water |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |

1 cup butter |
1 cup king arthur unbleached all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
4 cups milk |
2 cups diced cooked turkey |
1 jar (6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Combine the egg, butter, water and lemon juice; stir into dry ingredients until a soft dough forms. Spread half of the dough into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. 2. In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and salt until smooth; gradually add the milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Yield: 9 servings. |
