By Ellen Sue Spicer of Hands on Nutrition. A great combo of flavors, like dark cherries, ginger, onions and teriyaki. cooked turkey breast, dark cherries, fresh ginger, rice vinegar, teriyaki sauce, honey, carrots, green onions, sliced almonds cvt Ingredients:
20 oz diced cooked turkey breast |
580 g (4 cups pitted) dark cherries, halved |
1 tablespoon fresh minced ginger root |
1/8 cup rice vinegar |
1/8 cup teriyaki sauce |
1 tablespoon honey |
1 cup shredded carrots |
1 cup chopped green onions |
1/3 cup (toasted) sliced almonds |
Directions:
1. Make the dressing, then toss everything together. Tuck in a wrap w/ fresh greens and sprouts. 2. Substitution idea: use diced, crystallized ginger in place of fresh. You'd probably need to double the amount. Then, delete the honey because of the sweetness of the ginger. I've done this in other recipes with good results. |
