Unique, but very yummy! Ingredients:
4 slices turkey breast |
2 slices rye bread |
4 stalks fresh asparagus, blanched (not canned!) |
1 tablespoon thousand island dressing (or more if desired) |
2 slices swiss cheese |
alfalfa sprout (optional) |
Directions:
1. Toast bread and spread slices with 1000 Island dressing. 2. Place a slice of cheese on each slice of bread. 3. Trim asparagus to width of turkey slices. 4. Roll each asparagus spear in a turkey slice. 5. Line one slice of bread with the asparagus/turkey rolls. 6. Top with alfalfa sprouts& the 2nd slice of bread. 7. Put sandwich on a lightly greased griddle and heat until cheese melts. 8. Slice on the diagonal (just my preference). |
