From my recipe collection to be tried. A good recipe for turkey leftovers. Ingredients:
3 1/2-4 cups prepared stuffing |
1/2 cup turkey broth or 1/2 cup chicken broth |
2 tablespoons butter, melted |
1 egg, beaten |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
3 cups diced cooked turkey |
1 cup turkey gravy |
1 cup peas |
2 tablespoons dried parsley |
2 tablespoons diced pimentos |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme |
4 slices american cheese (optional) |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine dressing, broth, butter, and egg; mix well. 2. Press into the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 10-inch pie plate, set aside. 3. In a large skillet, saute onion in oil until tender. 4. Stir in turkey, gravy, peas, parsley, pimentos, Worcestershire and thyme, heat through. 5. Pour over crust. 6. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until golden. 7. If desired, arrange the cheese slices on top of the pie and return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. |
