The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Glycemic Index Snacks Ingredients:
2 teaspoons olive oil |
1 lb ground turkey |
1 medium apple, peeled cored and shredded |
3/4 teaspoon dried sage |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
3 whole wheat pita bread, cut in 1/2 |
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, heat oil and cook turkey until lightly browned. 2. Add apple, sage and pepper and cook, stirring often for 4-5 minutes. 3. Divide turkey into 6 portions. Spoon into each pita half. Serve warm. |
