Decadent, rich and chocolatey! I got this recipe from the packaging my bundt pan came it. It is awesome! Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups butter, softened |
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar |
6 eggs |
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour |
2 cups powdered sugar |
3/4 cup cocoa |
2 cups chopped walnuts |
glaze |
3/4 cup powdered sugar |
1/4 cup cocoa |
1 1/2 - 2 tbls. milk |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Grease and flour pan. 3. In large bowl, beat butter, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. 4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 5. Gradually add powdered sugar. 6. Blend well. 7. By hand, stir in remaining cake ingredients until well blended. 8. Spoon batter into prepared pan; spread evenly. 9. Bake at 350 degrees for 58-62 minutes. 10. Cool completely. 11. In small bowl, combine glaze ingredients until well blended. 12. Spoon over top of cake, allowing some to dribble down the sides. 13. Store tightly covered. 14. Note: Nuts are essential for the success of the recipe. 15. ** Since this cake has a soft tunnel of fudge, ordinary doneness test cannot be used. Accurate oven temp. and bake time are critical. |
