A friend gave me this recipe and told me it made it's own tunnel of fudge ...She was right, it does....A chocolate lovers cake Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups sugar |
1 3/4 cups butter, softened |
6 eggs |
2 cups powdered sugar |
2 1/4 cups flour |
3/4 cup cocoa, unsweetened |
2 cups walnuts, chopped (important...do not use more or less) |
glaze |
3/4 cup powdered sugar |
1/4 cup cocoa, unsweetened |
4-6 tsp. milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Grease and flour 12 inch bundt pan or 10 inch tube pan 3. In mixing bowl, combine sugar and butter and beat until light and fluffy 4. Add eggs, 1 at a time beating well after each addition 5. Gradually add powdered sugar, blending well 6. By hand, stir in flour, cocoa, and walnuts and stir until well blended 7. Spoon into pan and spread evenly 8. Bake for 58-60 minutes 9. Cool upright in pan 1 hour 10. Invert onto plate and cool completely 11. Glaze 12. In mixing bowl, add all glaze ingredients, adding enough milk for desired consistency 13. Spoon over top of cake and let drizzle down sides |
