What a healthy and delicious snack! I got this idea when a family friend made Tomato and Rice Stuffed Bell Pepper. You can prepare your tuna any way you would like - omit or add ingredients. Serve as a snack, a meal, or an appetizer! Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 large tomato, hollowed out |
1 (6 ounce) can tuna |
1 tablespoon mayonnaise |
1/4 red onion, chopped |
2 large sweet pickles, chopped or 2 tablespoons relish |
1 teaspoon mustard |
salt and pepper, for taste |
Directions:
1. Cut the top of the tomato off. Cut around the inside edges and remove the inside of the tomato. It should look like a bowl. 2. Chop onion and sweet pickles - set aside. 3. Open and squeeze water out of tuna can - empty in a small bowl. 4. Add mayo, stir. 5. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. 6. Eat it like an apple and ENJOY! Yum! |
